Sun and turning tides

It was a perfectly dry and warm weather that set the stage for The Indigo's two-gig comeback on live arenas after a 6-month gig break. "It was a blast to be on stage after the break", says guitarist Lauri Päivärinta. "Beautiful surroundings, warm weather, lots of happy people, it was all good."

On the two consecutive nights on the decks of M/S Rhea (Wednesday) and Gaia (Thursday) in Jyväskylä harbour, The Indigo premiered two new songs that will also appear on the upcoming EP Tideturning. "We were already really excited about these new songs and the wonderful feedback from the crowd confirmed the feeling - there's a huge potential in these songs." The release date for the EP is yet to be set: "We'll be working hard to get the EP finished before the end of August." (July 24)
