Kimmo Korhonen - Drums

My musical journey started with listening to music from very early childhood. My father listened to classical, jazz and pop music, and through his records my ears would start to pick up what music is all about. I played some piano at home and took some violin lessons before I was ten. In early teens I got into more rockish acts such as Bon Jovi and Europe. When I was 14, me and a couple of my friends started a band in my father's carage. I started as a keyboardist, but found myself behind the drumset in no time.

I took drum lessons for some five years, studied hard and played in a couple of prog-pop-rock-heavy bands during those years. The bands faded away, and at the age of 20, I had my set packed in my storage and played very seldom. During 2002 I joined a musical and found some new musicians to play with. One thing led to another, and in early 2003 the line-up for The Indigo got together for the first time. Can't believe it's already been six years - and can't believe how far we have come... It's been a true pleasure to be a part of such an exceptional group of people, and will continue as such for sure!Kimmo Korhonen
