Greetings from studio, pt. 2

The mixing of The Indigo's upcoming debut album has started. The first weekend was planned to be a start-up of the mixing process and a test laboratory for some fresh productional ideas. "We chose one of the songs and focused on the overall sound of the mix as well as tried out a couple of new tricks that we've gathered up on our sleeves lately", the bassist Tapani Vaahervaara comments. "A lot of good things emerged from this session, and the sound we ended up with will pretty much set the direction we are going towards with this album. While we still have a lot of work to do with recording the backing vocals and some other extra stuff, it's clear that the sound will exceed what we've done before." To calm the fans worried of losing some of The Indigo's identity, he added: "The sound of The Indigo will be there, just slightly updated and perfected."

The Indigo will also play two gigs in two weeks time as they pop on the stage of Poppari (Jyväskylä) on Friday the 19th and do a show in a private party in Mikkeli on Saturday the 20th. "Will be a blast to do some live playing at this point, and get a little bit of fresh air outside the studio", Tapani comments. Tickets to Poppari are 5e and the showtime is set at around 23.00. (February 8)
